Lorraine Bullock

Wawanesa Insurance

Currently the Wawanesa vice president responsible for the BC region, Lorraine started her insurance career working a temporary gig at a brokerage during the February Autoplan rush. The temporary gig turned into a permanent position. Ultimately, Lorraine bought a share of the business and became the managing partner.

In 1999 the brokerage was sold to Westland and her career took a turn to Travel Insurance where she spent time as the national sales director for Travel Insurance Coordinators, Senior Product Manager at BCAA, and Regional Vice President of RSA Travel Insurance. In 2014, Lorraine joined Wawanesa where she has been for the past 11 years.

A strong believer in volunteering and giving back to the industry, Lorraine has spent time on many committees including as treasurer for the Executive Travel Network, Education Chair for the Travel Health Insurance Association, Non- voting member of the Insurance Council of B.C., Chair of the IBC B.C. chapter, Chair of the Dorman Charity Golf Tournament and 16 years with the Salute committee.
After a lengthy and varied path, Lorraine feels she has found her calling in Operational Leadership. Supporting people to enable delivery of corporate objectives has been the most rewarding period of her career.
Outside of work, Lorraine has been married to Wayne for 47 years and is an avid traveller and entertainer. Her most recent trip took her entire family, 3 grown children, their spouses and her much adored 4 grandchildren to Scotland this past summer.
